you know we're big fans of red engine jeans here at tumbleweed

one style in particular - cinder - has been a great fit on bodies of all shapes and sizes

it's a mid-rise jean with a double button waistband and a slimmer-than-straight-but-not-skinny leg

we just got cinder in a new wash for spring (on the left):

and on the right is a style that we can barely keep in stock - firebrand

lots of ladies love the curvy fit... if you find that jeans that fit you well through the seat and hip are often too big int he waist, this is the style for you

we'll take the rain

a cute new dress from velvet comes in an ikat print that reminds us of the raindrops that have been falling in portland this week

cozy tights and a cardigan will make it wearable now...

and it'll be cute on its own once the temperature goes up

but for now we'll splash in the perfectly timed rain -

we've just marked bensimone rainboots down by 30 percent!

jenny goes shopping for the oscars

portland's decemberists are up for a couple grammy nominations - best rock performance and best rock song, to be exact

band member and accordion player extraordinaire jenny conlee came to tumbleweed to find a dress to wear to next month's awards event

it was pretty cool that jenny wanted to wear a dress that is locally designed and made in portland

we think she found the perfect one, a kara-line coco:

we were happy to hear that jenny's going to wear the dress during performances, too

congratulations to the band, and thanks for rockin' kara-line, jenny!
