Family Friendly Halloween in the Neighborhood!
We can't wait until Halloween! Costumes are being made, great plans for
trick-or-treating are being laid and anticipation is filling the house.

Start your morning at Grasshopper for some tricks and treats. We will be filling treat bags with wooden toys, stickers and monster coloring pages for all ages.

Then visit our neighbors, Green Bean Books for a special story time at 3pm with local illustrator Lee White.

After that head over to our friends at Milagros for some tasty (sugar-free) treats and a free fun wooden Milagros top or a special Milagros pirate tattoo.

What, you still need more? Ok, well how about a stop at Igpie toys and then
McMenamins' Kennedy School for their Trick-or-Treating celebration between 4pm ­ 6:30 pm?

a big day for Hayden

We had a milestone moment at Grasshopper last week. Our little friend Hayden took his first steps in the shop! With the help of his new walker this 9 month old is now up and at ’em. Way to go Hayden!!

As if we needed one more reason to love the Plan Toy Walker! It comes with a set of blocks for stacking, moving, and distributing. The handle is adjustable and there is even a brake! A Grasshopper favorite.

B is for Bat

Grasshopper has a few batty visitors hanging out in the windows these days. But don’t be frightened, we hear they are just here for the company. Meet their furry monster friends, sit down with their favorite book, Bats at the Library and give us your spookiest howl. After that pick up our latest creepy digs, Monster Feet and start practicing your stomp!

meet Edith...

Cruising down the road from Dunthorpe, OR with sewn goods overfilling her lovely wicker basket comes Edith Pate. 102 years old and still parallel parking, Edith swung by the shop yesterday to drop off some more of her handmade aprons that we have been carrying here since our opening in 2004. Some of her new designs include sock monkeys! Grab some fruits and veggies, pots and pans and have some fun in the kitchen today!
